Dissolution.

She snuggled close

He was morose

She reclined her head

He stood instead

She only wanted a chance

Not a lover’s dance

He was vacant

when he wasn’t complacent

She finally bid Adieu

To which he said

Wait! Where are you?

By then she was faraway

And he

With pain did pay.

Beautifully put, He will regret for a long time to come. Sadly!

Did he really know what love is in the first place dear Lily? Love of others I mean, not just self…..x

      um, no.
But, my fault for wanting to be so nurturing and for being used to giving. After a time, that scenario becomes quite lonely. Past though, as much as I like to “poetry” it. : )
Let’s have a toast to better days, Janine. (You get to choose the Italian wine, of course.)

  3. It IS comforting to know that “her” heart is not broken (as is the one in the photo) and that “she” understands that “she” can move on! “She’s” really quite the gal, isn’t “she”, Lily? (I am now removing tongue from cheek!).

This one challenges me…… . thanks for the gentle “prompt”
